We evaluate hundreds of new mobile games each year and choose the best ones for you to play after careful consideration. The procedure is more difficult than you may imagine. First off, there just isn’t enough time to examine every single game that is published. Instead, our editors and reviewers comb through the piles of new releases each month and choose the ones we believe have the greatest potential. Every year, tens of thousands of mobile games are launched, but there is a limited amount of time.

So, games are sifted through on a number of levels before being chosen for evaluation. But since we write so many reviews each year, we decided it only made sense to put together this resource so you can quickly examine the top mobile games of 2023 according to review rating.

The teams at Steel Media, which includes Pocket Gamer, Pocket Gamer France, 148Apps, App Spy, and more, really love mobile games. As well we should, since we’ve been reviewing them for over 15 years now. Or, if you want to do that weird thing people do where they add up the collective years to get an outrageous number, the sites have been reviewing mobile games for over fifty years collectively.

It implies that there is a wealth of information present in these rooms, and it also implies that we are pretty selective in determining which of them we do choose to examine.
